![]() Energy Training Institute Reputation
Bringing learning to the learner through diverse learning opportunities - that's what the Energy Training Institute is all about. The Energy Training Institute (ETI) was established in 1990 as a unique business division of Southeast Regional College, in an effort to keep pace with the ever expanding training needs of the energy industry. The Energy Training Institute has offices in both the Estevan and Weyburn campuses of Southeast Regional College, and shares the College's training facilities. Over the past 12 years, ETI has had a proud history of being responsive to the high demand for training within the energy and industry sectors of Southeast Saskatchewan and beyond. To meet this demand, ETI provides a diverse variety of technical, environmental, and safety-related courses. AS awareness of ETI programming expands, other sectors and regions have begun to realize the benefits of many of the safety courses offered through ETI. The Energy Training Institute works with an Advisory Committee made up of representatives from business, education, and industry to identify courses and programs beneficial to companies and individuals within the industry sectors. In addition, ETI undertakes ongoing assessments of the training needs of the individuals, businesses, and communities within the region to ensure the relevance and value of ETI's courses. Based on an analysis of the information gathered, ETI identifies industry trends, as well as short and long term training needs within our region and beyond. This analysis is the basis for establishing ETI programming, allowing ETI to be flexible and adaptive in meeting the educational and training needs of the learner and the economy within the southeast region and beyond. The Energy Training Institute believes in the value of partnerships, and continually seeks to build and nurture partnerships to enable it to identify and meet the education and employment needs of individuals, industries, and communities within our region and beyond. Over the years, ETI has established and maintained numerous partnerships with post-secondary institutions, provincial and federal governments; rural municipalities and communities; school divisions; corporations; business and industry, to meet the diverse learning needs of our region. Through innovative partnerships with other educational institutions, organizations and industry, the Energy Training Institute helps to fulfill the College's mandate by "providing access to learning experiences and information." ETI and the College believe there are no barriers to learning - only unopened doors. ETI endeavors to "open the doors to learning," within Southeast Saskatchewan and beyond, through the provision of a variety of unique and diverse learning and educational opportunities. As ETI's programs and services continue to develop and expand, our learning communities will respond, benefit, and grow. By delivering the "personal touch" within the region's communities, ETI is enabling adults and communities throughout southeast Saskatchewan to meet the realities of today and create the opportunities of tomorrow. |
