Business Certificate
Location:Assiniboia
Length:33 weeks
Classes start:September 2, 2008
This one year certificate program is designed to provide the student with a sound knowledge of business practises and principles and to develop that student’s ability to relate and apply this knowledge in adapting to current social and economic conditions.

The Continuing Care Assistant program aims to prepare students to assist people to help themselves in their own homes and in special care facilities.

Locations:Moosomin, Weyburn
Length:20 weeks
Classes start:October 13, 2008 (Moosomin)
October 27, 2008 (Weyburn)
This program provides entry level skill training. You will learn how to make electrical installations and perform maintenance duties according to industry standards. The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Branch grants the first of four levels of training to graduates who enter the Electrician

Length:45 weeks
Classes start:August 18, 2008
Hairstylist is a pre-employment certificate program. Hairstylists who want to work in the trade are legally required to first complete a 1500 hour pre-employment program. You will learn how to perform techniques on hair, wigs, hairpieces, skin and nails as well as develop artistry, salon management and customer service skills. The program provides an apprenticeship period of up to two years.
 
Power Engineering
Location:Weyburn
Length:36 weeks
Classes start:September 8, 2008
Power Engineering Technician is a certificate program. It provides practical training in boiler operations, maintenance techniques and tool usage. You will study Fourth Class inter-provincial standardized material as preparation to challenge the inter-provincial Fourth Class examinations. You will also acquire boiler firing time in the power labs.

Length:36 weeks (Yr 1), 29 weeks (Yr 2)

Practical Nursing is a certificate program. It provides knowledge and skill development in providing professional nursing care independently or as a member of a multidisciplinary health care system.

Location:Estevan
Length:396 classroom hours; 174 practicum hours
Classes start:October 3, 2008 (runs alternate weekends)
This program will prepare you to be an integral part of the health care team working in the field of pre-hospital emergency care. Once you complete the theory components of the program, you will be required to participate in a field (ambulance) practicum and a clinical (hospital) practicum.

Length:34 weeks
Classes start:September 8, 2008 (Weyburn)
This one year certificate program is designed to provide the student with the fundamental knowledge and skills required for initial fabrication and repair demands within the welding industry. The program can be used toward a Journeyman Certificate.
