Scholarships & Bursaries
2014-2015 Scholarships & Bursaries
Scholarships, bursaries and awards are valuable resources for students wishing to achieve a debt-free post-secondary education. Through the generosity of our donors, thousands of dollars are awarded annually to assist those who choose to pursue their studies at Southeast Regional College.
This guide describes all of the scholarships, bursaries, and awards available at Southeast College. It also identifies any special criteria that you may need to supply to be eligible for certain awards.
This is a single application form for both Post-Secondary and ABE students attending Southeast College. The application form is secure and must be submitted by 11:59 pm on January 31, 2015.
1. Are there separate applications for Adult Basic Education (ABE) and Post-Secondary students?
There is just one application that covers both types of students. We will know which program area you belong to based on the info you provide in the Program Information section of the application.
2. Do I need to include a cover letter and resume?
We've kept it simple - cover letters and resumes are not required and there is nothing you need to attach. The application captures enough information that would usually be included in those documents.
3. Can I start the application and save it to be completed later?
You cannot save the application. Please prepare to complete and submit your application all at once. If all your information is prepared, keying it in should take only 5-10 minutes.
4. How do I know for sure my application has been received?
When you click on the "Submit Form" button, you will receive a confirmation message that your application has been sent, along with an application reference number. In addition, a representative from Southeast College will send you an email to the email address provided in the applicaiton to confirm that it has been received.
5. If a scholarship or bursary, for example, has 3 specific criteria and I only meet 2 of them, does my application sill get considered?
Donors set spicific creteria which we look to fulfill; however if none of the applicants meet all of the criteria, we would first consult with the donor and then select the best candidate.
