AgH2Onward

Overview

Date / Location: Virtual and self-paced

AgH2Onward is the first of the four required courses that people must take if they are seeking QP accreditation and it is a prerequisite for the Introductory Qualified Person Training/ADAM course.

AgH2Onward focuses on:

  • WSA’s Agricultural Water Management Strategy and how it is designed to improve the livelihood of producers
  • Tools for agricultural water management and to improve farm efficiency and profitability
  • How to be better stewards of the land
  • Decision making and ways to work together to reduce conflict
  • How to secure a drainage approval that can be transferred to the next generation or with the land title if the land is sold

AgH2Onward is a free online course with videos and readings that promotes responsible agricultural water management. It provides attendees with information about the Water Security  Agency’s drainage approval process. The goal of the course is to help producers improve the efficiency of their farm while at the same time implementing stewardship-focused mitigation tools to reduce the impacts of drainage to water quantity, water quality, habitat and soil health.
