ORGB 208 Recruitment and Selection
This course will introduce you to the distinction between recruitment and selection and provide technique and practice within both areas. You will examine the form, function, purpose and impact this specialized area of human resources has on business in the new millennium. It will focus on increasing knowledge and skills for behaviorally based interviewing and how to design and execute effective, targeted questions to ensure you make the best hiring decisions. In addition, it will enhance your awareness of the human rights and legal issues affecting both functions, examine the role of resumes and proper reference checks in the process and analyze the strategic importance of successful hiring techniques for your organization. Case studies and other practical exercises will be used throughout.
