Point of Adequate Outlet
Point of Adequate Outlet Course (Pre-requisite is the ADAM Course)
The purpose of this course is to provide participants with:
- An explanation of key technical concepts required to determine the Point of Adequate Outlet (PAO).
- A generalized approach for hydrological assessment of the PAO.
- Step by step instructions procedures for determination of the PAO for a drainage application.
- An adequate outlet worksheet for submission with an application for drainage works.
The delivery of this course consists of an asynchronous component and a day in the field. The field day will focus on learning how to use survey equipment and ID plants. This information will help QPs to assess if a location along a crown-owned waterway/waterbody is an adequate outlet for a drainage project.
