By being able to take my first year of university close to home, I was able to save money on living expenses. It was easier to transition from high school to university by having my parents closer to me. I was also able to make contacts with schools by coaching and volunteering, and that helped to get my first teaching job right out of university. If I was to do it all over again, I would for sure take my first year at Southeast College!
