Kids camp back for another year in Weyburn
April 11, 2019For parents seeking summer activities for children, Southeast College is proud to announce its day camp is returning for the upcoming summer. Southeast College for Kids gives parents and their children an opportunity to take part in unique and stimulating summer programming in Weyburn.
“Last year we launched our first summer day camp at our Weyburn Campus and it really was a lot of fun for all of our summer participants,” states Jeff Richards, VP of Strategic Development. “We are excited that the College is able to provide a fun, safe and engaging place for parents and caregivers to bring their kids throughout the summer months.”
Parents or caregivers are invited to register children in individual weeks or for the entire five-week summer camp. Southeast College for Kids is geared towards children ages six through ten. Cost is $110/week per participant. Space is limited so register early to avoid disappointment!
Southeast College for Kids Camp Schedule:
Week 1 – July 8 – 13 – People in your Neighborhood
This week participants will meet with a number of local professionals and learn about their job
Week 2 – July 15 – July 19 – Dynamic Designs Week
The design week will tap into participant’s creative streak by giving them an opportunity to create a variety of items
Week 3 – July 22 – 26 – Arts, Crafts & Culture Week
This week will have participants involved in a number of arts, crafts and cultural activities
Week 4 – July 29 – August 2 – Sports Week
Each day during Sports Week the focus will be on a different set of physical activities.
Week 5 – August 6 – August 9 – Performing Arts Week
Our final week will include music and preparation of a skit to be delivered at the end of the week for their parents
