Southeast College is pleased to announce its new bursary partnership with Vermilion Energy. Vermilion Energy has committed to a $3,000 annual contribution for the next three years to support the ongoing education and student success of Southeast College students. Contributions from Vermilion Energy will be matched by the Government of Saskatchewan through the Saskatchewan Innovation and Opportunity Scholarship program.

The new bursary will be awarded to a Southeast College Adult Basic Education continuing with Post-secondary at Southeast College. Award recipients will be determined based on both financial need as well as community involvement. Preference will be given to students located within southeast Saskatchewan and pursuing an education in Electrician, Industrial Mechanic or Office Administration fields.

“Vermilion Energy is proud to be a financial support to the Southeast College Scholarship Fund. Our “Vermilion Ways of Caring” community investment program is helping to fulfill our mission by giving back to our community partners by contributing to healthy, resilient, and sustainable communities today and into the future,” says Shane Pollock, Area Superintendent for Vermilion Energy.

“Southeast College is grateful to Vermilion Energy for choosing to invest in our students,” emphasized Jacquie Becker, Director of Strategic Development for Southeast College. “It’s continued partnerships such as this that are so valuable for our students as it is able to ease some of the financial pressure that pursuing a post-secondary education can bring.”

Southeast College is proud to offer innovative and flexible programming that encourages students to learn where they live.
